LOL about the addiction part of this boatbuilding stuff. I was talking with Dynamite the other day about the forum and all its contributors and how we all just toss our $.02 for free, and he laughed... He said that he used to ask Phil Bolger why he wasted his time designing these little boats when he could be designing million dollar yachts, and PB's response was that he designed the little boats just for the love of it. I guess that's what leads to our "addiction"....

I've never quite though of it in those terms...addicted to boat building...but, I do believe you are both right!

Otherwise, why would a grown man spend months building a boat that he may never use, or use very rarely! If boating is the object, it's so much faster, and about as cheap, to just buy a aluminum or fiberglass boat and take off!

Ah! But, being addicted is so much fun!!
