Just a reminder (especially for you first-time builders...) There are bargains out there, but you have to be on your toes...
In the photo above, the nine clamps (seven Jorgensen and two Brink&Cotton) cost a
total of $10. The two slabs of 2" thick premium cherry (I got another two not in the pic) cost $12 for all. And the 12" band saw cost $25...
There are deals to be had, but you have
got to do your homework (that is, know that you're buying quality), and watch places like Craig's List, yard sales, antique shops, flea markets, etc...
