Just read the note today on Dynamite's passing. What a shock, but he was 82 and worked hard all his life. I'm just glad I spoke to him last February on the telephone regarding which of his boat designs would be best for me. He suggested the Surf, and I'm going build it! And, I'm going to name it "Dynamite".

I wish I'd met him, but at least I got to talk to him. He was a gentleman, a patient listener, and free with his knowledge and advice.

Hello All

So, so sorry to hear of the sad news about Dynamite.

I would be grateful if those of you who know the family could pass on condolences from across the pond.

If it wasn't for the sheer passion and encouragement that was so evident in his books I wouldn't have built the Catfish. This in turn has led to many a fun holiday with the family.

Thinking of you all.

Adam
